When I first bought my truck, the PO had installed those ugly plastic rain visors over the windows and I decided to promptly remove them. Once I had them off however, a thin gray stripe of the remaining adhesive was left above each window. Although it was thin, it was VERY noticeable and extremely ugly. I tried everything I could to get this nasty stuff off from goo-gone to a chisel but nothing I did could get it to come off. That's when I found my new friend the 3M Stripe Off Wheel.

It's basically a big circular rubber eraser that attaches to your drill and allows to you, well, erase that nasty stuff off. I looked all over for it but nowhere seemed to carry it except on the web but it was usually around 25 bucks for it. I recently found it on ebay for 8 and decided to buy it. I got it today and I'll tell you, it works GREAT. I was probably out there for 10 minutes and the nasty stripes are completely gone. Onto the pics...

Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of before, but check out this after picture...(ignore the dust from the using the wheel in the crack of the door)

Bottom line: I would recommend this to anyone that has something on their truck that they want to remove without causing any damage to the paint.

I have the same problem with my rain visors, I took them off and couldn't get the nasty gray stuff off. I'm gonna look into this stuff. Thanks for the info.
