four runner,

if you think getting a big tax return is a good thing, its NOT! it means you overpaid/overestimated your taxes and Uncle Sam got to use your money interest-free. so you gave up your opportunity to use that money for yourself during the year. investing, spending it, etc. whatever.

better to owe a little at the end of the year than to get a refund back. or on the flip side, better to get a *little* than to get a lot.

Especially if your self employed. I do not look forward to tax season anymore. :(

I like my forced savings account...... if it wasn't for my big returns, I'd be in really bad shape during the slow months.....
