Shrockworks Bumper '01 DC Installed

I finally got my Shrockworks front bumper on after having sit in may garage nearly three weeks. I came down with a wicked cold that prevented me from doing anything.

While the bumper was off I decided to get rid of the chrome, to suit my phobia, so I painted the chrome after a quick rub with some 320 grit sand paper and hit it with a Duplicolor Truck and SUV black. End results look good IMO.

I was able to install everything but the winch, as I ran out time, and my truck is my DD. That will come in a later week.

They produce a noticeably whiter light than the headlights or the LightForces. Today is day one, so all the experience I have is from the driveway! I'll try and update you as I go, but if I forget send me a PM.

Nice job mounting, looks great! i'm not a big chrome fan either, so the black out looks great to my eye!

Looks good, the black out is the hotness, and that shrockworks bumper is absolutely killer!!! Everytime I see one they look better and better!

Yeah with the design of the bumper a lot of light with the fogs would get wasted in the "tube" and therefore would be a waste and I opted for the driving lights. We sell the PIAA's so feel free to ask me what info you need on the PIAA 510's.

Wil, that looks great and much better all blacked out. :thumbup: I think the 240's look better on your taco rather than your wife's Xterra, the 170's will look good on that. Heck run three 170's on hers. :D

Nope, originally from WI. There is/was a similar Taco in SoCal that was owned by Mark L. before he sold it... it was all red

That makes me miss my 240s... :( Those things are amazing and worth every penny. That was actually a question of mine about that bumper and I was wondering if they would fit. Good idea on the black, looks 100x better!

Looks great! Which exact Duplicolor black did you use on your bumper? All I found is Flat(T90?) and high gloss(T100?) I want to achieve semi-gloss shine you have. I have mine all primed, I'll probably paint it this weekend.



Duplicolor Truck and SUV black. End results look good IMO.
