Hey guys,
Just had to share: Its my bday tomorrow, but like a 6 yr old, i opened them today after dinner :D First, my mom and family got me a nice sweater and some cash. Nephews even wrote a bday message in their best cursive. cute.
And this is coolness as only the Japanese can do it:

Satoshi and his wife had asked me for a pic of my truck. They then went to the Japanese post office and had real, usable stamps made of my truck! Is that bitchen or what?!? THey are really great people. I hope some of you will meet them someday.
And last but not least:

NOT GUILTY AS CHARGED! Take that, you overzealous got off on the wrong side of the bed, had no milk left in the carton for your Wheaties, missed anger management and politeness class at the academy, ticket writing ... :hillbill:
Thanks to Slosurfer for taking great pics of the area where I got pulled over as well as Good times for writing a letter of support/defense. You guys rock. I owe you both large cervesas, etc, etc. Thanks guys, that saved me $158.

Bob,
That's awesome news man!!! (the ticket I mean). Now all we gotta do is go back and shove it up her face!
As for the stamps, I didn't know you can do that there. I did hear about it but wasn't sure if it was really true or not. SWEET!!!! Gonna have to hit up my family and see if I can get a few for myself ;)

Happy Birthday Bob! (Mine was yesterday).
So, I want to hear the story on the ticket. Was the cop a "no show" and that's why they dismissed it? If not, what were the grounds for dismissal?
I *so* should have taken a photo of you and Lance pulled over on the beach! :tongueout:

 Bob, that's awesome! I'm glad you were able to get out of that ticket. By the way, the invoice for my time and pics is in the mail, I think it came to around $158, hehehehe. :flipoff:
Those stamps are :gay: Hahaha, just kidding, very cool. Did your friends from Germany send you german stamps of your benz?
Happy birthday Bob!
Happy belated bday Ken!

Happy belated, Ken!
I studied how to fight tickets via an online book i purchased. I wrote an account of what happened (no fiction at all) and filed a 'trial by declaration'. the officer is given the opportunity to respond in kind to the judge. the thing is is that i did not violate the beach rules per the oceano dunes rules nor the california basic speed limit law. not to mention, it was clear and as bright as it couldve been. i was not weaving, performing dangerous stunts, etc. so i guess the judge thought it was innocuous enough to let me go. if anyone is in a similar situation at pismo, just let me know and i'll send you a copy of my TBD letter. but in the future, if i see a cop trailing me or anywhere near me, i'm just stopping and not giving them any excuse to write me a ticket.

thats awesome news Bob and Happy Birthday!
I hate cops who write bogus tickets...its a waste of time and there is no room for those attention-needing whores. Im glad you won that case!

Happy belated, Ken!
Thanks!
So did the officer not respond to the trial by declaration? Was the original ticket for speeding?
