looks to me more like a clean cut then a clean brake.

Are your motor mounts loose? It would take an insane amount of vibrations (from the motor moving on the mounts, or the exhaust moving) to snap it clean below the flange like that...

Don't think so.. I just had a new ATK engine put in it last week. Been having bad vibes around 40 from crappy steel wheels and tires for a while now - doubt that helps.

It's sitting at the muffler shop now waiting for work. Dude says if he can pull the old flange off it should be salvageable.

The problems just never seem to end :shake:

Sorry, but no. Kinda scared of taking my rig on long trips anymore. My luck finally ran out the other weekend I was heading to Aetna. Thinking I'll stick with the local wheelin for now.

Thats a wiered place for it to break. I've had the welded area where the two pipes connect to the single pipe crack and break on a couple of trucks and even had a manifold crack but it never broke there. Your tranny bracket is there so you would almost have to have a broke motor mount or something.

that just looks like it had a poor weld to the pipe that finally let loose. I used to have a problem on my 22RE where the gaskets kept blowing out on that flange, turned out the catalytic was clogged & kept building too much pressure
