Ok, so we've got our fair share of lifted Caprices and whatnot around Charlotte, but this one takes the cake.

Wish I had a better shot of the front. I don't get it. :hillbill:

Its a big thing now a days. They call it Donk! Put the big rims on vehicles that used to be low-riders. Most are not wheelers. They do front solid axle swaps but only for lift and to avoid the IFS front ends :chair:. The rims are worth more than the cars !

Like a disfiguring accident, these things fascinate me. Must be the shiny objects and loud noises.

Actually, it was on the Donk wiki that came up on Google.

Sad thing is, that Caprice probably has more lift than my 4Runner. :chair:

I don't get the Donk thing. Slabs are what's popular down here.

A slab is usually a domestic luxury car, usually 70's and early 80's Caddys, with 1984 50 spoke Caddy rims called 84's (very hard to find actual 84's) with Vogue white walls and matching 5th wheel, a wood grain wheel, hydraulic trunk with neon,a system and the 5th wheel has to fold back, and nubuck interior. Like so...

ive always wanted a suicide knob on my wheel, but i dont think it would go over too well for wheeling. skip breaking your thumb, youd break your whole hand!

Did the driver have them apple bottom jeans and boots with the fur??

How about them baggy sweatpants and Reeboks with the straps???

LOL!!! The plate says "I Todd U"...they spelled it wrong, it's "We Toded"

I kinda wonder if they can roll fire roads???

I don't think he was wearing apple bottom jeans and boots with the fur unless we've got trans-sexual thugs in texas

"texas?! only steers and queers come from texas, And you don't look much like a steer to me so that kinda narrows it down..."

So, I just thought I'd bump this thread because I have a question.

I don't know if this is a local fad or something catching on nationwide, but has anybody seen these cars with the names of chocolate candy bars or chocolate drinks printed on the side? So far, I've seen these cars with "Reeses Pieces", " Butterfingers", "Snickers", and "Woo-Hoo" printed on the sides. The labels look very authentic and use the same design as the companies they represent.

It cracks me up.

They probably get a check each month from the company. My parents used to drive a VW Bug with Camel cigarretes stuff all over it. The money they got for it paid for their insurance.

Here's an article that kind of explains it.

I saw a huge resergence of this when gas prices skyrocketed and then again with the tanking economy
