This has been one of the longest, snowiest, coldest winters ever. I can't wait to get outside!

Why does that sound familiar - was ToC through there this year? Good luck and have a great time!

ToC came to Pasadena this year. This is the first year I missed the finish. Thanks, I'll need all the luck I can get.

I ride when my body tells me I can :) Other than that I don't cuz I just either don't have time or don't have any friends to do it with. The motivation definitely got lost somewhere but it's good to know someone local is doing it :)

U tolling w/ your mtb or you got a roadie cuz I've only got my mtb to pimp :(

Just put some baldies on it. That's what I have on my MTB so I can spend time on the street.

Solvang was the TIme Trial stage, stage 5 I think? I had to look it up.

We finally got out last weekend for 27 miles on the tandem. My pint-sized stoker gets too cold when it's below 60.

It's Levi's home town. And it used to be Discovery's training grounds.

I just got back from the Lance Armstrong Foundation Skinny Tire Festival in Moab. 4 Days of ~50 mile rides around the area. Great fun! Easy-ish stuff for regular riders. Cold as hell on day 2 at Dead Horse State Park though. I hate having to peddle to move downhill! Riding through Arches national park was awesome!

I'll post up some pics when I get them from my friends (various camera woes; don't have too many of my own.)

Nice ride. Amazingly CLEAN. Has it seen dirt yet?

Thanks! Those pics were taken the day I bought it, thus the dirt-free appearance. :) It does get ridden a lot, but I still haven't had it out to Sedona, Arizona yet, my favorite riding spot.

Oh, how I would love to be there right now!

I am around bikes every day and still have yet to ride my bike! I work at a bike shop but there is still too much snow to even ride to work. Anyways heres my bike pre-season condition. I am building a new wheelset, waiting for X9 shifter/rear der, azonic bars, fsa stem and so on...

Finished the build up on my bike, nothing impressive. But if you haven't seen or heard, Gunter Mai has biult a 7.04lbs road bike he says he rides 1k kilos a week! Now THAT'S awesome!!

Some day....some day......the wheel set is a $15k set!!! You can see his and some other light rides here:

Santa can I have one of those please? Oh wait, wrong season.

Bet it cost more than my truck when I first bought it, :smokin: no joke!

Since you guys gave me so much crap for posting clean bike pics, I had to go out and do a ride today. Here are the pics:

We rode the Missouri Bar trail, which parallels the Yuba River near Nevada City, California. The trail is a blast and the scenery is incredible.

Re: MBT..Nice, we almost went up this weekend.

Real Men don't need gears for Yuba/DV!! ;)

We were talking about single-speeding Yuba--I would certainly want a little lower gear than normal because some of those climbs are REALLY steep. I know my buddy was having some trouble on his SC Nomad because of the short wheelbase and high front-end. That's hardcore man!

After hunting for a year, paying my other bills and saving some, I finally got a bike.

At the advice of the preferred shop in town, my lady friend and my wallet, I ended up with a Gary Fisher X-Caliber.

Really interesting to spend time on a bike again. Last time I rode much was 10 years an almost 100 pounds ago!

Pics later I suppose. It is a 29er, some say huge, I say Adrian size.

^^^ Very nice! Any idea what the build weight is? You will love the Fox fork. I have a couple of other bikes with Rock Shox, Manitou and Marzocchi forks and they don't quite compare. Although I can't complain about the Marzocchi--it is eight years old, been ridden a lot and only had one maintenance interval done.

If you're in Fayetteville, you just need to get out the door! I just raced in Devils Den (road race) last weekend. NW Arkansas is quickly becoming known and the "new" undiscovered region for MTB riding. Some ridiculously awesome terrain and trails around there. Check out the Buffalo River Valley and the Arkansas Grand Canyon-awesome stuff!

Finally finished my build. Well almost, all I need is a bashgaurd. Its sort of an AM/XC mix match. I really like it.

I want a new wheelset. I built these Sun DS1-XC laced with DTs to LX CL hubs. They are nice and light but I want something bomb proof. Anyone got somethin?
