Guys,

Since we've migrated to a new server, there will always be issues. Please list them in this thread so we can keep track of them and address them asap.

For me, i attempted to change my siggy, but this error message came up (see attachment)

I have noticed, I cannot select large blocks of text in a post window, or when editing or qouting someone else. I can only highlight/select one letter.

Im having problems with the server time and the time change settings.

Currently the time locally is 4:05pm eastern where I am, and it shows the server time as 2 hrs behind. Then when i click autodetect offset, it puts me at (-3) meaning I am located somewhere over the pacific??
SO the autodetect isnt working. Maybe we could change the current server time to show which timezone that current time is actually in so we can set the + or - offset outselves properly

Anyone with time issues remaining, go into your profile under look and layout preferences and click autodetect on time offset. The server has physically moved timezones, so this should cure the time being off (it fixed mine)

The server is set to the east coast so this should be resolved. If it's still doing some weird stuff let us know so we can look into this a bit more.

I guess you guys are still tweaking a bit.
Currently under the "who's chatting" section of the main page has displayed the UltimateYota.com Unavailable page :-)

04 Rocko Taco

I am getting that page that shows under whos chatting just about everytime I post, or refresh the page, then I refresh again, and back to the site!

hmm strange the chat went down... hmm

Another thing I just noticed, every time I hit a thread that has a new topic, I go straight to the UltimateYota.com Is unavailable page, but when I hit refresh it goes to the thread I had just clicked.

Just keep you guys posted, not meaning to be nit picky :-)

sorry guys that was my bad. I made a setting change on the db and that just messed things up. Just playing with a few settings here and there to optimize the bastard :D Everything should be back to normal now.

This stupid forum keeps kicking you out when posting a reply. I happens too often and sux.

I'll even get logged out automatically after this post...watch...WTF is up with this? I have checked everything on my side and it is not a security program, computer or server error on my side. :(

NO issues here. What system are you using? Browser? Do you have the "remember me" box checked at login?

Seanz0rz
10-15-2009, 11:53 AM
really seems like a cookies problem to me. ive never had any trouble with firefox in XP or win 7, and safari on my iphone

Said server was down about 5 mins ago till i refreshed.

If I don't have the "remember me" box checked, I get kicked off after about 20 or 30 minutes, usually if I'm trying to post something long or something that took some time to find a link.

Most of the time I don't use my own computer, so I don't check the "remember me" box. I do like that it will automatically log me out if I forget, which I guess is what it's supposed to do. But, it is frustrating when I lose stuff. If I've just written my post, click reply, and then get kicked off, I get redirected to either the forum home page or the forum index. Instead of being redirected there, is it possible to just get redirected back to the post I just wrote? I think Ih8mud does this? :headscratch:

If I don't click "remember me", am I supposed to get automatcially logged off when I close the web browser, or after a certain time limit?

Maybe I should just get used to clicking "remember me" and "log out" when I'm done. :D

CJM

Oh FWIW no issues with being kicked off and I login using the box on main page and have checked "remember me"

Using firefox too.

A while back i posted a note about some sort of script or text error showing just below the login bar that is above the nav bar if you are not logged in. Today I was able to freeze the page load long enough to figure out what it is I am seeing with the little bits of orange pixels..

Lost Password?

Maybe goto only one login point on the page instead of the one below the nav bar and the one above the nav bar?

I can shoot a png later this week if clarification is necessary.

Is it just me or has the site been extremely slow today?

I thought maybe it was just some routing issues from my house, but up until just now it was like this in class as well. It would eventually time-out.

I wasn't able to get on all afternoon. The browser would churn and churn. I tried access through my internet favorites and by typing directly into the URL box. One time it gave a white screen with black text saying the server was down. Looks to be working now.

Sorry about this guys, I've been slackin on maintaining the box. It's a 3 year old pooper and it's starting to show its age so I'll try to work on getting us moved to a new box soon. Just haven't had time to upgrade but I've been meaning to do an upgrade for some time so hopefully I'll have some down time at work to get an upgrade done soon.

If anything just shoot me an email or message me directly so I can fire up the old pooper to jump start her when it takes a dump. She's an oldie and still can make it a bit more but I know it needs a bit of work to make sure it doesn't fall apart. :)

Another issue, board's been loading up really slow on refreshes, clicked pages, etc. Then tonight Chat kept going to a white screen saying "Service unavailable" and then went off to the main page, I click on chat again and got this, able to post, lost all the conversation and look at my login indicator on the upper left of the screen, nothing there..yes, I did clear the cache, etc the three times it happened.

The last few days, the users in the chat room have not been displaying on the home page. Not sure if it is just my computer, or something else. Problem occurs while using FF. IE works fine.

Not sure if this was an actual problem or not as it is gone now, but looked like some kind of server side or client error. The black bar across the top of the page with letters on the left hand side.

Don't know if this was brought up, I really don't have time to read 5 pages. The Birthday profile will not reset to the proper date. By the looks of it you have allot of people with 1/1/2013 Birthday.

Attachment system will not allow .kml .kmz or .gpx anymore (seems like it did previously). I just tossed them in a zip file, but it would be better to not do that.

another weird thing... it says i have 16 unread PMs, but i have no idea where... i have checked both my inbox and sent folders :headscratch:

hmmm that's a new one I'll have to dig up. Could have been something in the migration that screwed up something. I'll look into that one.

05-10-2014, 09:48 PM
This somehow got resolved. Don't know what changed but the "unread" PMs showed up as bold and I was able to mark them as read.... Even though I had already marked the entire inbox as read earlier. Whatever...

But seriously, are smiles working for anyone else?? I'm getting little grey boxes...

Getting an odd error I have never gotten before, almost everytime I try to post.
166

This was the post where it happened first. I had the entire post typed out, and when I went to post it gave me the error. So I added the bit at the end, and it worked...
http://www.ultimateyota.com/showthread.php?9308-Rocko-s-Random-Gun-Talk-Thread&p=111409&viewfull=1#post111409

Here is another odd example, I typed up a response, and then clicked the Go Advanced Button, to check a couple of things and get a preview, I got the preview, but my post had disappeared from the text box.
167

Just a heads up in case anyone else gets it, or it becomes a wider issue, Cutting and Pasting your entire input seems to do the trick.

If no one else is having this issue, I will assume it is a local browser or network issue of some sort on this end, and will deal with it accordingly.
