i used rustoluems "army green" it is one of 3 of their camo colors. just saw it at the store a few days ago so i dont think it is discontinued, possibly the store your going to didnt sell enough so they stopped buying it. BUT, the rustoluem is NOT a true OD anyway, its a little lighter. to find OD green go to a military surplus store. you will probably be paying $8 a can though. i would say buy a gallon and find someone to shoot it, much cheaper, even with throwing down some cash for the painter.

recent mods:

all relays go to the ground bolt, then ground goes to the body. all relays are hot and ready for anything to be hooked up. i put the two extra in there just in case one goes out i can just pull the piggy back and switch relays. or if i ever want to add more stuff i am all ready wired up.

http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c279/alpha_nett/trucks/relaypower.jpg
just used a piece of stainless steel and cut grooves in it, then bent using edge of table. all bolts are stock toyota parts, minus the two into the firewall.

Great setup though!

it was a little tight, but defiantly doable. going to do it to my taco once i put on my hella's, and to my 85 for rock lights. looks a lot cleaner than using different relays in different spots. maybe when i do the taco i will try to do a write up.

WOW, I so just realized that was on the Runner, I thought it was originally on the Taco!
Doing a Write-up would be awesome, I am OCD so I do like all my stuff to look neat and organized.
Nice thing to include is what gauge wire you used :-)

Why don't you do one!?!
You have an 85!
Tinker a little lol!
Just playing, share the wealth :-P

OT - but I have an '84 and I am to lazy to do a write up, and I want to follow his write up.

i am in school for like 5 more weeks, so give me a little time, maybe i can do it in the next few weekends. i will do it on the 85 i guess, it will be no different, just look at pics of the 99 to compare. i will include all wire sizes and all.
YOU GUYS ARE IN FOR A TREAT! im not great with wiring, but my buddies did avionics in the Air Force, he fixed the nav systems on F-15's. sooo, he is ok with wiring stuff together. he did most of the work on the 99, so i will take good pics while he does everything to spec. he will know all proper wire sizes and when and where fuses go.

that will be fine. depending on if it turns out really model specific or just in general, I can move it elsewhere if need be.

what i am working on now is finding out if a propane conversion on my 85 runner is legal in california. talked to a student smog feree, and he said that people come in and get their pane conversions checked there and all that is required is some kind of form that the conversion company gives you with the conversion. problem is i dont think gotpropane.com has that form as they are not legal, nor do they try to be. i am determined, and if it can be done i will find a way. then... i will do what i can to help out other cali citizens with their propane conversion legality problems.

I've gotten to know commercial propane fuel systems pretty well lately through my work, and now even more than ever I'd like to do a conversion on my '81.
Let us know what you find out about street legality and all.

I believe that used to be ADH8796's rig. See post 36 in this thread

I believe it is a Hansen bumper for a Jeep Cherokee that he retrofitted. One of my favorite plate bumpers I've seen yet.

It is a Bentup front bumper and a BruceTS style rear.

Anthony aka ADH8796, built both the front and rear bumpers. designed copied from Bentup for the front, and BruceTS for the rear. both are very strong and clean looking bumpers. i am very happy with them.

thanks a lot. i am really happy with them all. the only thing i wish i would have done differently is not have boughten my 2004 tacoma brand new. because a few months after i got it a came across a 2000 with all the same features, plus it had manual locking hubs and for $10,000 less too!
