two different beasts. you want both? also, define your budget too and what your goals are. do you want to light up the cops a 1/2 mile away and get a warning? talk with slosurfer. if you just want mild driving lights on a budget, consider hella 500s. i have a writeup on my website at 4runners.org if you want to view

I'll have to agree with bob here. You have a TON of options, but you have to pick what is right for you.

These are the lights I have: http://off-roadlights.com/xcart/product.php?productid=16182&cat=257&page=1

They are very, very bright, however, they are not what every one needs. From what I've seen, some hella 500s, like bob mentioned, are great and perform exceptionally for their cost.

Oops sorry guys I should know better.

I am looking for light, anything really. Driving or fog, I just miss having them on my truck.

I would really like to buy some used ones that someone doesnt need or want anymore. I do have a budget and it is pretty tight.

haha, not really, but a cop did come all the way from across town to see what was going on when I was aiming my lights down by the beach (apparently he was on the other beach road across the creek and about a half mile away, hehe). Since I was already leaving by the time he got to where I was at, I did get pulled over. I think he was more impressed than anything, once he found out what all the bright lights were about, he just told me "If you can't see with these things on, then you shouldn't be driving!" :D I thought for sure that I would get a warning about not having them covered, but he didn't say anything about it. Then he pulled me over again because there was a warrant out for arrest under my name but the birthdate was way wrong and way younger.

To the OP, check out costco.com as they have IPF lights for about 90bucks. I think they are a combo light also which is nice (pencil and driving beam). For trail riding the Hella 500s seem to be really good for the price also.
