Wow! Sounds like you had quite a scare. I have turned the TV to channel 2. If there was a crash I think they would interupt normal broadcasting. So far no news.

Wow, that was quite an experience I bet. When those engines begin to let go they can make horrendous sounds and vibrations. Working in the business I used to see failure tests that sounded quite similar to what you are talking about so I can only hope all are ok. The plane should be fine even missing an engine so I presume they made it down ok. The real problem is fire so if you saw a trail of flames coming from one of the engines then that could really be the makings for a major disaster.
