Hello All,

I am going to be lifting my runner in may, and i am stuck on what rear springs i wanna run.
Some background: I carry a hi-lift, some tools, have a hitch, sometimes 5gallons of h20,and some sliders, sometime i will be getting an offroad bumper (swingout and jerry cans). I wanna run roughly 2-2.5" of lift front, and 3" of lift in the rear.

So which spring would you guys suggest? OME 890,891, or FJ80 (7wrap)?

Thanks,
Chris

Oh and I was at a junkyard on saturday, and they had a few 99+ consoles (cupholder mod).

I will be running the Sonroan Steel System 1.51 (current system is 1.2)
This lifts consists of tundra front coils that give you about 2.5" of lif tin teh front, and the FZJ80 front coils for the Rear that give you about 3.5" of lift when settled and would be perfect for that rear bumper and bunch of other stuff you have going on.
Talk to seanzOrz, he is running the same lift, and is in the measurement that you want to do.
OME has some fine products as well and I am sure people will chime in on it.
Depends on what exactly more you want to do.

I do presume you have a 96-98 4Runer since you mentioned the 99+ cupholder mod and your posting in the 3rd Gen section.

You'll need to either run the 891's or the FJ coils to get a full 3" in the rear.
Both will run around 3-3.5" total lift when settled.

891's - These springs are somewhat firm, but will handle a good amount of cargo load before the vehicle becomes unlevel.

FJ coils - Better on and offroad ride but will not as capable for cargo (ie you can carry heavier cargo but you may end up looking like a desert racer).

That being said, the FJ coils have become the usual spring of choice in the 3+ inch lift range.
