Hey all,
I am new to the forum but not to wheelin, or my yota.
I am originally from newnan, and live in carollton, and
am trying to find some people with truck that will
actually go wheeling not put 22's on 4runners.. (shame) :chair:
Anyways i know of a few trails around me and am always
eager to wheel with someone new... Glad to be here

Welcome to UY!
I presume your 2wd since you only mentioned lower gears in the rear?

Good to have ya! not that i can say much since I just signed up too. I'm from the Atlanta area but I go to school at Georgia Southern. How is the 3.0 with 33's? I'm getting mine on Saturday and I've heard it's gonna be more of a dog than it already is. I'm the kind of guy who just gets from point A to point B, speed doesn't matter, with maybe some trails in between, will I be alright with the power difference?

GSU, you have an auto?

If so its gonna pretty much be a dog with the 33's. a regear may be in your near future. I am pushing the limits of being able to go on the interstate in my '84 with 4.10's and 33's with my little 22R.

yea unfortunately an auto but I do plan on getting an ARB locker in the rear by the end of the year so I might just go ahead and get a marlin crawler rear 3rd with 5.29's and the ARB already in so I can just drop it right in place of the stock 4.88 3rd, and then wait a little and get 5.29's in the front, just won't be able to use 4wd for a bit but with a locker I shouldn't really need it.

If you had a SFA, I would say sell me your 4.88 3rds and you could afford those 5.29's :)
but one 4.88 3rd doesnt do me any good. :)

Yes, she is slow but i dont care about the speed as much as gas mileage but you
cant have your cake and eat it too, 3.0 was just replaced along with the tranny,
so it runs strong, but i keep real good care, since the new engine has been put in.
