View Full Version : Did you know that the Brita filters are not recyclable in USA?

Don't worry you're not the only one! I had no clue and it never occurred to me that we should recycle these plastic filters. Apparently the only way to currently recycle em is sending them to Germany which actually reuses and recycles the filter but in the good ol USA you just have to toss em.

The filter itself has quite a bit of plastic that should be recyclable and some lone individual is taking a stand against Clorox (owner of Brita) to change their business ways to make these filters recyclable. Help join in her fight to change this by submitting this petition.

#1809. Thanks for bringing this to our attention Lance! I drink a lot of water.. and go through a lot of filters. I hope they will be recyclable and renewable someday.
