Hey all. I joined this forum as I find it more technically oriented than others, and some highly knowledgable members were banned at the other ones.

First off, many thanks  to MTL_4Runner with his advice on the suspension setup that he has.

Now to the point. From my research, I will gain about 2 inches of lift in my low boy 02 with the OME 881/906. What is the minimum BS I can run without rubbing on 265/75/16 tires? I have a set of 16" Mickey Thompson's with a 3 5/8 BS, which is what is listed in the catalogue . But my Grapplers rubbed while turning on the street, which I figure is from being larger than the stock tire application, and after 2 weeks had to take them off. Am I doomed to just selling them? I really hate the stock 4runner wheels, and the limited 5 spoke style is hard to come by. Thanks in advance.

Lukas

You should be able to clear 265x75r16's on stock rims with minimal lift (0-1", it is an '02 after all), but I think rims with 3 5/8" backspace will stick out some and look a little doofy with just 265's. Stock backspace is 4 3/8" IIRC, which means those rims would stick out almost an inch farther than stock.

I personally wouldn't go any less than 4" backspace, but that is my personal preference and your results may vary.

Actually I liked the wide stance, and it held better around high speed turns.
And you say I'll only get 1" from the 881's?

No, I'm saying you probably don't need that much lift to clear 265's.

I already have the Grapplers with the 75 sidewalls. No rub with stock rims, and rub with the 3 5/8 BS rims. That is why I am asking if I will still rub with the 2" lift.
