I have always been a big fan of the Nissan Maxima. My parents had a 1987 Maxima SE V6 5-speed, which proved to be a very reliable and fun car. For that era, it was probably the biggest sleeper made--a 4 door body with a 300ZX powertrain.

The 2009s are coming out, here are the specs:
290 hp 3.5 V6
continuously variable transmission (I hope a 6-speed with be available)
dual panel moonroof
"interior ambient mood lighting" (first production car with a disco ball?)
intelligent key with pushbutton start
Bose audio with 9.3GB harddrive w/IPOD hookup

EPA is 19/26, which is about the going rate for a car of this size and output.

maximas have always been a good looking car

and this one just got better, despite id rather have a car that looks good and gets 35-40mpg, but 290 and 26 aint bad at all.

My mom has had 4 Maximas from 87 to 2002, her 87 SE was bad, and haven't really liked the newer body styles. But that is a beautiful car.

09 max looks like a cool design. soon ill be doing the pdi on them. other cool cars nissan is making that im looking forward to seeing is the 2010 370z. they have made the powerful 3.5 even larger. its now a 3.7 and now has variable cam timinig and lift on both intake and exhaust cams rather than the 3.5's variable intake timing only. they also made the z shorter and wider. ill also touch on the new gt-r coming out. i doubt my dealer will get one since they cost upwards of $90k and have special performance nissan shops in japan that work on them now. they have seriously detuned them in the horse power dept but a cool car never the less.

Regarding the 3.7...I saw the new G37 coupe, that car is even more beautiful than the G35.
