Another new Toy for the Hargroves

So we went to pick up our new to us 4Runner today...

1987 SR5 4Runner. It is super clean inside and out. Justin and I are so excited about this truck. We can't decide what we want to do first...we also kind of want to keep it stock cause it is in such great condition. It even has the inclinometer (with a working altimeter)! The only problem with it is the paint on the hood and roof is starting to oxidize. I didn't get any pictures of the inside, it was starting to get dark. I'll try to snap some tomorrow. On to more pictures...

Check out all the spare parts... and this is only half of it! The spare engine, rear axle, front IFS and driveline parts are being delivered on Monday. :clap: :drool:

Hahaha yeah, you're probably right.

Justin loves this one way more than the pick up. I'm pretty sure we'll be selling the pick up soon. We'll have to see how quickly Justin wants to start building up this Runner. If he keeps it stock for awhile, I'm going to keep the pick up, so we'll have a well built crawler. If/when we do start modifying, our plans definitely include a SAS.

That's actually a possiblity but not for a few months. We bought a house in the west Chicago burbs so we're a little cash light at the moment.

Towards the end of summer we'll hunt down a San Diego Yota. I would to get one that's already built to a degree.

But back on topic, that 1st gen is nice. It's kinda interesting when a vehicle gets to a point where one isn't sure if it should wheel hard becauce nice ones are getting scarce. That one is a good one.
