i did a complete oil change on the 99 for the first time yesterday, front/rear diff., t-case, tranny and motor. for the first time in 15 years, i wish i could have had an oil filter wrench. as smart as they are them Toyota engineers, the location of the 3.4 filter is just plain out retard.... need to vent.
ok, i made a mess on the concrete driveway, with motor oil and little gear oil from the front diff. my neighbor gave me some cat litter but it only picked up the excess oil from surface. now, anybody has some tricks to clean that?

I have used this in the past - CLR Grease magnet
http://www.jelmar.com/CLRgrease.htm
Worked pretty good
There is a link on the site to show where to buy - I got mine from Home depot

some simple green will work pretty well.. and its bio degradable, so sorta safe to wash down the driveway.
i usually use the foaming setting, spray it on, let it set for a while, blot it up with a shop towel, repeat till the towel comes up clean, and if there is any left, spray it again and let it set, then try hosing it off.

How long did you let your cat litter sit? I've had really good results if you let it sit for a while (2-3 days or longer) It will get wet outside unless you try covering it.

I keep a 5 gal bucket of cheap dry laundry detergent (Kirkland) around. When I get a spill, I throw it on. It soaks it up and when your done, just spray it. It also leaves behind a nice fresh scent. ;) I get pig mats for free so I have not dipped into the soap for a while, I just throw pigs down before I work.

for tougher stains, buy muriatic acid. commonly found at any hardware store.
