Luckily the weather turned near perfect, 81 with a slight breeze.

Figured the Dude was old enough so we headed out to check out the AMA races on Sunday.

The reason i went.. to see Ben race again. met him years ago at a Race when he was full on in World Superbike. Very nice guy. Racers like him and the general attitude you meet are the reason i go. Not rabid like my brother but given the choice i would choose a Motorcycle race over any other pro event.

Couldn't get a good shot but up there is Ben Bostrom the race winner.
Go Ben.

All the other picture i have to get developed.
Definitely need to get a zoom lens for these tracks you cant get so close to.

Very nice, I havent been to any AMA races in a while. I actually prefer to watch them on TV though, you can just see a lot more of the race. Good times either way though.

True,
But nothing can beat the smell of Race gas nad the unfiltered exhaust note you get being there first hand.

And besides all the racers and support people always seem to be pretty approachable making it a much more personable sport and event.
