Just another random poll. :)

I was gonna throw in some wild card out of the country ones but I don't know of any so if you're one of those rare individuals, post up so I can modify the poll for ya :D

haha same here!!!! actually it went pacbell, attwireless, cingular, now ATT (at least down here in socal). many different reason for sticking with them over the years, and now the new 3g iphone is out, ill probably be tied in for another 2.

X2!!
AT&T is great everywhere but my house, I don't get it, even when we had like a mobile tower set up down the street I still got barely a bar of service.

If everyone used AT&T then I would never use minutes. Everyone I talk to uses AT&T so I am in good shape. Verizon and AT&T are the best carriers in my area.

AT&T here too. They work fairly well, although I've noticed they don't work too well in some areas I've been to lately like the chesapeak bay area and northern parts of Montana. But I guess every cell company has their dead zones, so overall, I've been pretty happy. My plan is cheap too. :hillbill:

Rogers Wireless added to the mix.

Btw show off your mobile plan too :)

Here's what I have:

Carrier: Sprint
Phone 1 - $50 @ 1000 min, 7pm nts/wknd, mobile to mobile (sprint), first incoming minute free, pick 3 (similar to t-mobile's Fav 5), unlimited text, $40 Blackberry service
Phone 2 - Free shared minutes w/ primary phone, all features like primary phone w/o blackberry service
Phone 3 - $20 add a phone to primary phone, all features like primary phone w/o blackberry service
$10 discount applied to blackberry service
10% discount to total
Totals around a bill after taxes n crap.

I wouldn't mind trying another carrier but so far no other carrier can match my plan so I'm stuck w/ Sprint.

AT&T gave me a real bad experience in my early 20's and their customer service was lacking

T-Mobile was great for awhile, until I moved to a location where there was no coverage. After ~ 8 years of using them, I changed my plan and, even though I got no free-be's, I had to sign on to a new contract that they wouldn't let me out of. Tech Support couldn't stop daily text messages from being delivered to my phone from their own site, so I had to call every month to get charges removed. I eventually filed with the BBB to get out of the contract because I had no coverage within 10 miles of home anyway, and they ignored that too. Otherwise T-Mobile wasn't bad

Now I'm on Verizon, but it's a company phone so I don't pay squat. I did get the wife a plan with Verizon though, we've never had a problem with coverage and it's just over $40 (as long as she doesn't go nuts on new ringtones) for I don't know how many minutes but she doesn't use them all anyway

Verizon is the best I have dealt with. I have Sprint for work and its awful....used to have AT&T and hated them and my sister has T-Mobile and she hates it....I have not had one issue with Verizon in the last 3 years

At&T for me, I was cingular before the merger.

I have a blackberry curve 8310.

roughly $50 for my voice and text plan after taxes, and roughly $50 for my blackberry service (unlimited) after taxes.

I used to have Verizon and I was very pleased with their service. I had "more bars in more places" with Verizon than I do now with AT&T (was Cingular), which is ironic since that was Cingular's slogan. I also had clearer calls, where Cingular tends to sound just a bit choppier.

BUT, I cancelled Verizon for one reason, they criple bluetooth (BT) service on all their phones. You can use a BT hands-free, but that's about it. The idea is to force users to transfer music, pictures (from your camera phone) and ringtones by using your airtime and by charging you per kilobyte, rather than just allowing you to openly transfer via BT for free like I can with my AT&T service. This has the effect of locking people into using VCast, Verizon's music download serivce, to purchase music for mp3 phones and ringtones, rather than just transfer music you already own via BT. Even though I feel Verizon's service was better, I couldn't live without free BT transfer; I use it at least a couple of times per week. Shame on you Verizon.

I'm on Sprint because my wife gets an awesome discount through her work. We're also locked into the Fair & Flexible plan so we don't get those ginormous bills for going over our 800 min. plan for $70 (2 phones). Sprint does alright, it's not Verizon, but it gets the job done well.

Virgin Mobile. Pay as you go $20 every 3 months which I've never managed to use up.
Doesn't have the widest coverage area but considering I wouldn't even have a leash, er, phone, if my sister hadn't given it to me when she got a new plan it does just fine.

yeah, we're with verizon, but man, you pay an arm and a leg. their quality is pretty awesome and we have been fairly satisfied w/ their customer service.

we've used probalby all of the carriers:

pacbell/cingular
AT&T
nextel
sprint

of note, we get a fairly good discount b/c we bundled our wireless phone, dsl, and wired line through verizon. even so, its $$$

im waiting "10-20 days" for my iphone. im hearing despite ATT's crap that it usually comes in 5-7 days. well see. i need one desperately. i have to hit my phone to answer a call...

Lee
08-21-2008, 09:01 AM
you have to wait??

just go to an apple store. thats what i did. i waited in line for about 15 mins, then it took about 15-20 to get all paid up.

oh and get a screen protector while youre there.

my only complaint so far is battery life.

i got verizon and it is great had no complaints with my phone and my battery last me about 2 weeks. it depends on how often you use it and close the phone.

Verizon, tried spring and att and around here they both have the worst coverage imaginable. Att drops calls and and has poor service and sprint/nextel aint much better.

Verizon I can be in the boonies way out and still have coverage, very rarely do I drop and they got the nice in phone navigation now, plus everyone has it here,

ive had ATT since it was Houston Cellular and then Cingular. Ever since it got taken over by ATT i've hated it. the moment their ad campaign about no dropped calls started it started dropping calls like you wouldn't believe. im switching to verizon
