That's a very cute puppy and grew up to be a great looking dog. I think Gabe would make a great hunting dog. So full of energy and always looking for something to put in his mouth. But no place to hunt in Orange County. Thanks for posting.

Here she is trying to stop the water from draining since she doesnt want bath time to end

Chris, so how did the furminator work out? Did it take out a lot of hair?

Coco's bath video is great. Good job on the rescue.

Dave, the infurminator works pretty good. There is actually less hair than I thought there would be. I like how easy it is to pull the hair off it and it actually holds onto the hair while brushing, no more hair floating off while brushing. No longer a messy job. We also got it after he was beautified, so that could be one of the reasons why there was less hair.

06-18-2008, 02:21 PM
Hey Chris, I'm sure there will be more hair as time goes by. Hope our dogs can meet some day.

Hey Corax, I'm curious to know what type of dog Tornado is also.

'Nado is a retired racing greyhound . . . he lost a toe at the track after ~2 months of racing. He looks kinda goofy in the second pic because he's squinting.

Here are a couple of out Pooch
His Name is Beethoven, or as my grandfather would call him Torbeto, Don't ask.
I just call him pooch when he is around and Beethoven when I really need him to listen :D
He is 16 years old and he is a German Shepherd/Yellow Lab Mix

I have his bone in my hand and he is about ready to pounce on me lol

Him eating the crumbs from his treat of the day:
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a2/Nighthief/UY%20Stuff/DSC03856.jpg

Poor pooch is starting to show his age a little more these days.
Bladder issue, partially deaf, I think this may be due to the Lyme's Disease but every now and then his back legs will give way.

He hasn't shown any sign of pain, and he still can jump as high as he used to 5 years ago but the issue is there.

There was a german sheaperd half his age and almost twice his size that got through are screen and attacked him and he was still good.
Its gonna be sad when he does eventually leave us, but we are enjoying his company as much as we cah :D

not to hijack this thread, but i have sad news. today we found our cat charlie dead in the orange grove that is behind our property. he had been killed and partially eaten by a coyote. i had the lovely job of scooping what was left and burying him. one of the saddest days in recent memory.

it is apparent to me that all of the above animals mean the world to their respective families. take good care of them, it sucks when you lose them, especially after only 2 years of life.

rest in peace little guy! we loved you very much!

well, as much as well all miss our cat, its definitely not the coyote's fault, and i wouldnt like to see him(or her) die either. he was doing what he had to do to feed himself, so it is not his fault at all. charlie always brought in dead lizards and birds, so something bigger than him had a good meal.that whole circle of life thing, ya know?

we knew the risk, and we always said that if one of the 2 cats that enjoy (and they REALLY enjoy it!) being outside died from a car or wild animal, they died doing what they loved doing.

dont get me wrong, any person that tried to hurt one of my animals would be in a coma, and if an animal attacked in my presence, id do my best to fend them off.

Ravens = Protected (the little buggers know it!! :chair:) Crows = fair game :hillbill:

Ravens are as smart as all-get-out. I've seen them stealing mail from mail boxes and they've opened 3 of my packages left on my door step! I'd come home to a raven crime scene of torn card board and only non-edible things remaining!! :argue:

Cool as he11 . . . I miss all the big 'ole ravens that used to hang around the park in So Cal :( How did you get to be friends with one?

and I'll add -> Corvus Corax. . . the raven . . . the trickster & the creator god . . . in Sweden, ravens are known as the ghosts of murdered people, and in Germany as the souls of the damned . . . Vikings believed that ravens Hugin and Munin sat on the god Odin's shoulders and saw and heard all . . . excellent problem solvers thought to be as intelligent as wolves . . . and a trait any gearhead needs, able to use tools

Nah, I'm thinking with the color wash-out in the pic (I don't remember Avy being that pale) he looks closer to emo or new wave vamp youth

j/k Avy :P - Cute puppy though, have a name picked yet? - is he/she coming with to RC in Nov?

Puppy is a little old.

His name is Kobi, According to his birth certificate he is 8.
I wont be bringing him to Rausch anytime soon.

I would like to get a puppy though and train it myself to be a great wheelin dog :-)
