It was a good movie and the wife rated it as #2 in the list of Pixar films. She seemed to like Monster's inc better for some reason. Anyway it was an entertaining movie and I rate it $6 out of $7.
One thing that struck me is that in 700 years they still can't make a computer voice sound like a human!

We saw it last night with our 3yr old also. It was pretty good. I think it had a ton of adult over tones though, many of which should induce some thought. I thought the fat people in the anti gravity chairs who were so lazy that they could not even walk was funny as hell.
Had lots of environmental stuff in it without going too far. The little Wall-e guy reminds me of "Johnny #5" from Short Circuit in the 80's.
i loved this movie, #2 from pixar behind the original toy story for me.

Haven't seen Wall-E yet (waiting for DVD) but I have to agree with your wife Monsters is the Best Pixar film.
$7, thats pretty cheap for a movie around here.

That was the matinée price and normal price is $9 I think.
The Incredibles is my favorite pixar movie.

Taking the Fam to the drive-in to see it and Get Smart tonight. I guess last week it was Wall-E and KungFu Panda, that would have been a good time for Jack.
An FYI, the old Toyota Vans are a kick arse rig to take to the Drive-In. :D

Oh good, the drive-in is still there. I thought they shut down. The wife and I used to always go there. We just found a drive in here but we can't go in the summer since it's too hot.

Yep, it's still there. It's a cool place. I think we will be going there quite often since it's a great place to take the kids to the movie. We met some friends there and our kids just played around till it started, that would not have been possible at a regular theater. :D
As for the movie, I liked it, Jack liked it, and my wife loved it. I really can't give an honest critique between a massive sore throat, Jack talking, and multiple trips to take him to the bathroom, I probably didn't have as much fun. I liked the 2001 Space Odyssey music mixed in. I think I laughed more at some of the other Pixar movies.

the cockroach was a good addition.
were the dust storms from ships landing or the trash buildings falling over?
cars was better than monsters inc, and they even had a cameo in the end. :shrek:
