WELL, WHEN THE FRONT FENDERS WERE ADDED TO MY RIG, THE FENDERS EXTENDED PAST THE BUMPERS ON BOTH ENDS. IN MY OPINION, IT TOOK AWAY FROM THE WIDE STANCE LOOK THAT I WAS TRYING TO ACHIEVE WHEN I FIRST SAW LANCE'S RIG. EVEN WORSE, THE END HOOPS ON THE BUMPER MADE IT LOOK EVAN SMALLER. I KNEW FROM THE VERY BEGINING, BEFORE ORDERING THE SHROCKWORKS BUMPER, THAT AT ONE POINT OR ANOTHER THE BUMPER WAS GOING TO HAVE TO BE MODIFIDED OR I WAS GOING TO HAVE GO THE SAME ROUTE LANCE DID WITH THE CUSTOM TUBE BUMPER. TO ME BOTH HAD THEIR + & -'S. BUT WHEN SPEAKING WITH STEVE AT SHROCKWORKS, WHEN HE WAS DEVELOPING THE BUMPER, I BECAME REALLY HOOKED ON THE APPROACH HE WAS TAKING AND ALSO THE LOOK AND DESIGN OF THE BUMPER. BUT I ALSO SAW THAT THE BUMPER HAD DESIGN ISSUSES THAT CONFLICTED WITH THE APPROACH THAT I WANTED TO TAKE WITH THE RIG. BY FIRST GOING OVER THE PROBLEMS WITH LANCE, I GOT AN IDEA IN MY HEAD OF WHAT WAS GOING TO HAVE TO BE DONE WHEN EACH STEP WAS COMPLETED. WELL ANY WAY, TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT, IN SPEAKING WITH BRUCE AND FEEDING OFF EACH OTHERS IDEA'S AND THOUGHTS AND PUTTING BRUCE'S GREAT SKILLS AND NEW FAB TOYS TO WORK. WE CAME UP WITH THE FOLLOWING MODIFICATION.

AS YOU CAN SEE, THE FENDERS EXTEND OVER THE BUMPER AND THE HOOPS MAKES THE FRONT LOOK EVEN SMALLER! :crap:

Ya, sorry about that. When I write my reports for work they have to be all done in caps. I will work on that, thanks for keeping me in check. Not use to posting so much!

Looks nice David, Bruce does have some cool fab skills. I see you got your sliders on since that time when Bruce installed my sliders.

Awesome truck! For my own clarification, the two side hoops were removed and the sides were widened to match the width of your fenders? It sure changed the look to it...kinda like super extra beefy hybrid pre-runner style. I like it and Bruce, you got skills.

Oh no, the sliders were on there when I last saw you at bruce's, some times you may not notice them on there because they sit a little lower then most becuase of the body lift and also I wanted to be able to step on them, so I had them installed that way.

Thanks, ya that is exactly the reason for the modification and those were Bruce's exact words, well almost exact. :headscratch: We were both really happy with the out come. Every one that has had work done by Bruce seems to be very happy with his work!!

Hey! What happened to your Toyota emblem on your front grill? I'm not falling for your subconscious games. I'm already jealous enough of your ride.

The bumpers come off tomorrow and will be sent in to get powder coated.....

As for the mods done to the front
* widen the wings to match the fenders
* trim the wings to match the wheel well
* changed the shackle hangers to match the rear
* cut off the side hoops
* cut out the turn signals and added tabs for fog lights(turn signals are incorporated into the headlights)
* added a bracket for front facing camera

Wow that clarifies everything. I like the idea of changing those thin shrockworks shackle hangers to match the ones on your rear bumper design.

David, I guess I didn't realize you had the sliders already because you drove up in the 300zx that day. Truck looks great
