can we focus on the number game too? I've got a few good ones I'm saving and we've got A LONG WAY to go before I can actually use em! hahaha

YotaFun
05-20-2013, 03:19 PM
How about you PM the most active members besides us to get their behinds in here to participate!

just today I got an email from CNCzone, which I get pretty much once a week, telling me to come back to the site. I posted there maybe twice! It might not hurt to send out a mass email to get people thinking about the site again!

kinda lost in translation there buddy. whatcha talkin about?

YotaFun
05-21-2013, 11:26 AM
Lance, what he is saying is there are forums that will email people to try to get them back to posting on the board, even though in sean's case he has only posted a few times :-P whats on second?

Good Times
05-21-2013, 11:51 AM
might be a good idea although i'm not big on spamming everyone :) trying to keep this place nice and quiet to ourselves! :P

Other options can include some sort of prize or small credit to the UY store for increased participation. Just throwing ideas out there.

People generally thrash spam without even opening it. When my birthday comes around I'm always surprised by all the birthday emails I get from forums I've registered with. I had totally forgotten about the BBQ'n forum from 2003.

Quality information from this forum is what we look for here at UY, but without participation it will lack that, I am only talking members with post of 250-500 and up, nothing of those one time posters or lurkers, I know there are some people we haven't seen in a while

Rest assured, I try to limit the non-quality information I post but make no guarantees.

Still looking for a job, not much luck. I am so depressed, I am going to go dig a huge hole in the front yard!

YotaFun

Try having a job but then not making any money to afford your bills, and now your truck is overheating on you -_- I feel you depression, if its not one thing its another

Ultimately Sean, we are both screwed lol

Very true! I think I have about 8-12 cubic feet of dirt left to dig out.

Seanz0rz
05-22-2013, 12:36 PM
xylophonist gunna xylophone! I still need a real job. A free lance design job is just not going to cut it for the time being. I need something steady. Unless someone wants to give me 20k to start my business?

You've just got to get your foot in the door. Impress some people and you'll be making more money or open yourself up to more opportunity.

Zilch is still zero, need $$$ these days to survive, or even make it to a job, but Mike's right, at least its a foot in the door!

Dang, I am actually running out of places to apply to. I'm stuck in this valley, one side has 5+, 7+, or 10+ years of experience requirements, the other side is high school diploma or GED and $14/hour doing something that is in no way related to my field.

YotaFun

Easier said then done find a Job right? Yeah I am either Over Qualified (how? I don't know) Over Paid (DE has a lower cost of living but still I not taking a pay cut to less then what I was making at my supermarket job) or Out of my field all together.... Ce La Vie -_-

finding the ideal job might be great and all but if you've got mouth(s) to feed then you'll need to go where the job market is. and if that means moving.... so be it...

Jenkinson Lake is where we spent our long weekend. 8 families, 12 adults and 12 kids (aged 1-7). It's nice camping with others that live the same life as you do.

Killed my finger yesterday while working on the trailer. sorry no pix you freaks! I decided to let my finger get caught on the drill while enlarging my tailgate lock. darn torque nearly wanted to rip my index finger off. Had to drive myself to the ER to have them double check to make sure I didn't mangle it too much. Ended up getting an x-ray to make sure I didn't fracture my finger. All in all finger saved and my ego thrown out the window for the stupid move on my part for not working with leather gloves to protect my finger. Safety first y'all for you'll end up like me! Darwinism at its best... lol

My left thumb took quite a beating from a drill bit. I was going to town with a handheld drill (right hand) holding the piece with my left hand. The bit caught and broke. I had been pushing pretty hard so there was no turning back. That broken jagged bit hit my thumb and augured a hole about double the size of the 1/4 inch bit I was using.

My drill press story is about a good but a larger cut and had much less blood.

Heal up Lance.

now and then everyone has to partake in their fair share of the Darwinism out there. :) I just got lucky and got to mangle my index finger. it'll heal up in due time just a bit of ego bruised! ha
