Here I come.
And no, I won't be using the word "hella."
Copied and pasted from a myspace bulletin on what's new with yours truly...

Hello e-friends,
Well, that's the big news alright - and this time it's for reals. I'm moving to San Francisco. I've got a couple job offers now in SF, but have pretty much decided on one. It's right in downtown, and I'll be doing web design/development. Yep, I'm a web nerd to the core, ha. But it's a pretty cool company - it's sort of a start-up division, the creative arm of Atomic PR in SF. Lots of room for interesting work, I"ll get to work with print as well, and it's a good fit for where I'm at now, so that's nice. I start on September 8. I'm excited.
I still love LA, and will miss my friends and family down here, but think it's time for a change. I went to school for a semester in SF in 2003, and well, I look forward to returning. I'll be moving in with my brother, so I'll be located in Pac Heights. I've already got a couple shows lined up that week, ha. I may eventually make my back to LaLa land though - the idea now is grad school at UCLA in a couple years. We'll see.
In other news, I'm going to the Democratic National Convention in Denver next week.
While I have charlesrubinoff.com for my work life, I'm working on my personal site now and will be making some blog updates while I'm there. I'll post a link to that later.

Yep, so that's it. So what's up there to wheel? Hollister? Word is that's boring. Ukiah? There's always the Rubicon. I probably won't be wheeling as much (that that I have a whole lot lately), but I'd still like to make a couple trips or so a year.

Welcome to N Cal and congrats on getting a cool job.
That was my 4Runner in the driveway and we passed each other as I headed down San Jose today. Last time we met was on the side of road leaving Hungry Valley, you were 2 other 4runners and a FJ Cruiser. I thought I recognized your 4Runner.

You are going to love the trail selection up here. Great wheeling up Highways 108, 4, 88 and 50.

I know the place now, it's fronting the ocean in the Presidio area? My wife and I ride our bikes past there all the time. A meet there would be cool.
;) Seen both of your trucks, but never at the same time, and you both would've shot me for running up to the door after 9pm, while heading out of town with a box of Krispy Kremes* in hand...
*Was wrenching at a buddies garage Friday night, then heading home to work Sat morning, but not without the fuel for the morning crew. :D
Someone really should do an informal get-together, somewhere like the Presidio (we could use the SportsBasement lot, I'm sure Eric/Shelly would Ok it.)

A BBQ sounds good.
We might need to find someplace in the middle.
A ride to the City for the Sac guys will be a pretty long trip.
Just off the top of my head there are a couple places here that we could probably use.
(this is the reason i live here,in the middle of all the good stuff)
There ,might be better spots. Anyone have some centralized area ideas?

Oh yeah, a meet n greet thing would be cool.
I love Sports Basement. But yeah, I can definitely understand if it's outside the city.

Sounds funny, a bunch of wheelers, meeting on pavement in the city.

Sounds like we have a volunteer offering a spot to hold the M&G.
All amenities will be provided by our host, and complementary Toyota wrenching available to the first 100 attendees.
I hear Santa Cruz is nice this time of year.

There is talk about a possible Wrench-a-Thon and BBQ up at Hollister on the toyota120 board. Maybe we can combine the meet with both UY and toyota120 members.
Correction:
Not a Wrench-A-Thon..

:headscratch:
What is a wrench-a-thon, cause it doesn't sound like fun. I usually wrench when something is broken or when I am doing a mod. The last time I was at Hollister, the only wrenching I did was use a screwdriver to take a tail lense off (it was in serious danger).

Finally got to meet up again with Calrockx in person and talk after he parked his awesome truck  in front of my house. BTW it was great meeting you, wish we had more time to talk but I had my wife in the 4runner waiting for me to go.
You see the hit and run on the other side of street? Some dui:chair: driver side swiped a toyota parked across your truck. SFPD nailed the guy up the street as he was trying to drive off.
Now I think I recognize that other 4runner parked down by your sisters is it this same one?

Yeah, nice reconnecting with ya. Late last night found a parking space right in front of my sister's, so I snagged that.
That's a shame about the DUI.
Not sure who's that built-up 2nd gen is, but it seems nice. That's funny, three offroad Toyotas all within a couple blocks at one point.
That tire carrier in the last pic looks familiar, haha. Colin sold that to me a while back, but it's still at my parents house in LA.

Sorry I wasn't able to get there also, I was dead asleep. Worked a am shift and crashed when I got home and only just woke up. For sure we got to meet up another time.
Oh that other black 3rd gen 4Runner in the pics we took was xonetruthcrewx? I remember seeing him at Pismo last year with his crazy jump.

A wrench-a-ton is almost exactly what you said. A small group meet up to install lifts, suspension, gearing or what ever.
A great way to meet people in your club and learn a few trip in wrenching.
I got a pic similar to your except I have those globes in the pic.
