first, i'm not selling anything here, just a little FYI.

found a guy listing on Craig's list selling Toyota factory remote, thought about it, called up the number listed in the ad down i went.

it's located in Whittier, the guy runs a legit car stero shop also a mobile key service van. the romote unit seems to be re-conditioned with brand new casing. he programed it right in front of me only took him about 40 seconds to finish. the doors worked, as well as the rear window. paid him $30 cash and i was out on my way, the whole thing was done in 5 minutes.

so if any of you like me bought my 4Runner with only one set of keys and don't want to spend $130 + $30 programming from dealers, give this guy a try. if you need his phone#, PM me.

edit: i have bought an used one from ebay, but had to return it because it didn't work, either i didn't know how to program it or it's a dud, i don't know.

Cool. I bought my second remote from a store on eBay. It came with programming instructions and works like new. I think it cost me 20 bucks shipped. Having something located locally is nice though.
