trevor,
yeah, driving sand is such a trip the first time around. the good thing is sand is especially forgiving---unless you do some jumping ala bruce and co! you should definitely come out as slosurfer put on a great show last year and organized the trip really well. its usually one of our biggest events of the year. hope to see you there, man.

I wonder if ARB has the right bracket if you lifted 1", 2" or 3". Did you adjust anything like radiator, steering wheel column? Nice 4R BTW

you wouldnt have to because you dont have a body lift.
and no i dont believe arb sells brackets to accommodate body lifts... you would have to make custom ones.

which is the reason i wont add a BL, my ARB is bolted AND welded to the frame... and i have no desire to mess with that anytime soon. now if someone hits me hard enough to where i need to replace the mounts again, well then ill prob go ahead and go with a 1" BL and make some brackets up for it.
looks good dude, now go get some rubber door trim to stick in that gap, it will clean it up a lot and make it look perfect!

modding the brackets is easier than you would think. my brackets were bolted and welded as well. quick plasma cut takes care of that easily assuming the welds are crisp and clean. i'm sure i could have modded them correctly with them still on. all in all i'm glad i modded them the arb leaves a little too much gap for my liking
the gap is nice though if you actually wheel hard... you can come down pretty good on that bumper and it will move a surprising amount. if its pressed against body panels, the body panels will give / bend / crease.

the body of the truck will move in relation to the frame, and consequently the bumper. ive heard by up to an inch laterally and half an inch up and down. plus, who cares about the gap anyway? haha. just push some rubber in there and call it good.

Where did you get the bumper? Local? How much was shipping? I'm still looking for a bumper and I feel my choices are limited and shipping one is quite expensive.

looks like yours is my evil twin excepter the color. seriously, how much you cut off the tip of the frame? i'm getting an used one pretty soon to replace my current pre-runner style tube bumper, i'm just woundering how much work it takes to get it on.
take care

I new here, I have a 2000 Tacoma and I was thinking about gettin that same bumper for my truck. Do you think that it will be about the same? As far as the installation. 2000taco
