Hollister has a silly new park.

After cruising, met up with some Santa Cruz locals and did the The Jungle/Dry Creek. The jungle is really tore up, but still do-able. Didn't get too many pics, cause I was too busy driving, and my spotter was even busier.

Thanks to Jonah on the help through this section.

All in all this was a very good shake down run. I blew a steering hose, cause it was old (it weeps fluid from the crimp). I was rubbing a shock on the front passenger side, do to articulation (i'll be moving the shock inward and add a little more bump-stop). Oh yeah and the unavoidable body damage.

Nice pics and looks like a decent trail. Just had to scrub the logos off of the sidewall, huh? No point in giving a tire company free advertising unless you get a discount.

on a scale of 1-10, your flop being a 7 or 8, I think that body damage only ranks 2

BTW, why's the fuel filler located there in the last pic? Fuel cell?

Body damage never really concerns me, unless its in the way of my tires. No, this no way compares to a flop, its is kind of an un-avoidable drag, several times over. As far as my filler neck, my tank is relocated under where my rear seats used to be. My compressor fitting QD and guage is in the old fuel door. I have a 20gal cell at home waiting to be installed, but I am waiting for the smog guy. Don't want to start another project without them seeing it first.

Its real dry, they are just watering the haul road, and the park area. I hate mud so, I am loving it.

Cool. It's good that they are making improvements instead of closing it down. I haven't taken the 4runner to Hollister but I it looks like fun.

 Do you have a good profile shot, so I can get a look at your camo job? Interesting colors and I'm actually kind of diggin' it.

I don't have any just straight profile shots.

Thanks, those pics will work. How did you choose your colors?

I had a case of the green, its airplane stuff. The red is oxide, and the Tan is camo ultra flat. I started without masking, and that was a crap shoot. I almost did it the old way and used an over-head projector. Without an air-brush its hard to get perfect hazy lines. So it became hard lines :gay: I figured the lines will get hazy with abuse.
