For 26" wheels around here 32-17 is the way to go. I've been running that combo since high school. My 29'er is a different story. I have never been able to get the gear right. I think it's because the bike (a 29'er in general) is too bike for me.

Don't worry Brian we are both old I guess, I never understand hardly any of Norcals posts, and I am an educated guy also. I think what really happens is the same thing that happens to my girlfriend when she talks, she has a whole logical thought process in her head, but only fragments of sentences make it out of her mouth, so to her it is perfectly logical and complete, to the rest of us......what the ... ?????

I think that is it exactly, plus you know that folks what work with Macs are a bit :screwy: anyway.

And he says WE have ADHD. :flipoff:

What did you just say, dearie?
*smiles and nods politely*

Runnin' on a high school edumacation and plain old ADD, lots of pieces to post #1 but needed more to figure out the puzzle. Voila! Post #3 and I'm back in business. Good, 'cause all that head scratchin' was wearing a hole in me noggin.

NorCal, easy there....

I was replying with just as much humor.... I wasn't egging anything on. And I also am not sure what edits you are talking about?
I dont think anyone has edited anything...
I have no axe to grind, it was a jest in humor, just as your post was. If I wanted you to leave, I would ask you. I dont want you to leave....

OK, had a couple days to read and think, and I can say this...

Cool, I read the replies, and will consider the fact that maybe I took things the wrong way, and was replying as a douche.

I suck for that, so sorry then. I apologize.

Maybe what I need to do is to look at how I post and reply.

So, that being said, anybody want to volunteer to be the polite-informer/proofreader of a post rather than a slightly sharpened edge in my side? This way there are no potential feelings hurt, my posts read more appropriately, and arguments don't needlessly start, right? I can (at least this is what I'm told) throw out a lot of knowlege at a very fast pace that can be intimidating, or offensive.

So, in retrospect, I'd expect as much out of myself as I do others. It is then only fair that I should judge my posts in the same light as I would yours.

It's apparent then that I attempt to change, and in doing so, hopefully become better at not just posts, but overall as a result.

:D So I guess this means that my story today is one of introspection, irreverence, and hopefully some forgiveness from some online friends here.

Regards.

The information in this post is not disjointed. Life is good.

The original post would have been fine if we were in on the original happenings, it was kind of like walking in on a joke but all we heard was the punchline. Makes it kind of hard to get what's so funny.

You've got your own style, just like the rest of us. Nothing wrong with that. But-
If you want people to get what you're saying you've got to give us a gist....like good old post #3.

I should know, in the everydays I talk like Chris' girlfriend. There's an awful lot of bloody noggins 'round here.
If you know what I mean. :D
