hell, if i knew what engine and could source the body panels and had a nice driveway like lances (oh yeah, some money), id turn this into an off road rolling palace! look at the spaciousness!

I wonder if that's the one Fred Williams bought and was going to build 4 or 5 years ago. I think the idea was to be able to stock it and be able to sleep in it. I think he ditched the idea because they're heavier than heck, body panels were expensive and the drive train was a little unknown. It would be a little more familiar with one tons and a 350 but all it's value and nostalgia would be gone and it would still be heavy.

but yeah for the reasons you mentioned, looks like a project deal killer
