Import Jet Perfor ECU Upgrade Kit OR Doug Thorley Long Tube Headers. Help!!!

I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the Jet Performance Import ECU Upgrade Kit? i am kind of tempted to order this. On the other hand I have a Magnaflow Exhaust that could use some headers lol. Need some advice and or what should i do. Let me know.

I don't have experience with either products but if you really wanted a big umph I would recommend you check out the URD Supercharger kit found in the FJ Cruiser and Tacoma. Since the motor is identical I don't see why the SC kit won't work with the 4runner.

If $$ is preventing you from the big purchase, I would say get the headers and then the ecu. Note that if you plan to get the SC eventually you'll want to undo the ecu upgrade for something that URD recommends.

Yea my problem would be $$$ lol. So i think i am going to get the Headers, but do you think an ECU upgrade would be good? And what about UDR Chips are they any good since there more specific to toyota?

I'd definitly get the headders first. Then if you get en ECU upgrade or chip later, the combination of the two will be even more potent.

Also headers usually give you a boost in fuel mileage as well as some power. I think thorleys are the best way to go in the header dept.

Yea i think by removing the ones i have now since they have a resignator on one side and a cat on the other it will help. As of now i don't have any intentions of removing my y pipe leading to my exhaust though. I think it will help the overall sound too which is always a plus lol.
