What I am curious is if Headers off of a 03 Double Cab Tacoma 4WD will fit on a 97 4Runner Auto 4WD?

Mine are for poop, and I found a killer deal on a set of stock headers with the y-pipe in pristine. condition.

I'm assuming 3.4L in both, so it should be fine. Does your 4Runner have EGR or not? That also makes a difference if the Tacoma has EGR...I love having my headers, though definitely a PITA to install..

Only 3.4L that had an EGR were the early 1995.5 T100's

I didn't know that. Some websites ask you to specify whether or not you have EGR before ordering headers for 96-02 4Runners. Good to know Jamie. Also dual cats could also make a difference in them fitting properly, for the length of the pipe...

Thought I had typed 3.4L
They are both the 3.4L without EGR.
But I agree with Master, I have see a lot of site that have specified if the vehicle has EGR or not, though Jamie I trust your word, you are the master of our engines! :D

Yeah.... Rust has gotten the better of my exhaust system, I will be interesting trying to get the bolts out....

Just as an FYI.....

You can see the EGR blockoff plate (ie no EGR) on the exhaust manifold for my 3.4L in this pic:

I believe even the EGR blockoff plate disappeared in 1998 (not 100% sure on that).
At least the 1998 motor I've got going in had the casting boss on the manifold but was not machined.

Yeah, like I said I know my truck doesn't have it, and I know the 03 in the pics that I have doesn't have it so..
