like the question states, if i were to take the headliner off, would i find anything?

i know its kind of a weird question, but this is the reason i ask. i took my runner to a window specialist in hopes to help find a leak (a whole other story)in which they removed part of the headliner. anyways, when i got home, i noticed 4 to 6 white 3"x3"x.5" foam-like square pieces and two small screws. i finally found that the screws belonged to part of the sunshade setup, now im thinking that these foam pieces werent installed after they took the headliner off. just wondering if these are something that goes behind the headliner or something. any ideas?

possibly just a bit of padding that went between the headliner and the roof supports . . . nothing major, if you don't hear any noise or rattles don't worry about it

I've had the liner off of my runner and pickup. The foam was used to insulate harnesses and such from the body presumably to eliminate or prevent vibration noises. It also was in places to insulate wires from sharp body edges.

probably doesn't have to be anything specific, you could probably find something similar at Home Depot or Lowe's - maybe adhesive backed felt would even work

Meh, just extra parts. I have a box and jar full of "extra" left over from working on my vehicles. I assume everything is OK until something goes wrong. That's when I got rumaging through the box. At least at that point you know exactly what you're looking for. Note: If I think I might need that extra part before too long I'll throw it in the glove box.

They just throw some random stuff in there when they're done, just to mess with you. :flipoff:
