Never liked those holes, hope it works for you !. Those holes are great for locating, but weak IMOA.

I believe he planned on reinforcing them. What would you recommend? Thats why I posted mainly, to get some constructive criticism!

What about the 4Xinnovations frame support?

Keep going, I like it, its my style. You might need to throw some gussets for side-to-side impact. There is alot of sheer on those little bumper mounts.

The bumper mounts look very weak but the ones in the corss member look pretty tough. I think Ill get the 4xinnovations support or just make one similar. Thanks! Glad you like it.

If you put a winch on there you'll want to re-enforce those holes. Actually you should make or buy a frame support and mount the bumper to it. When it comes to the winch plate make sure you make the winch mount so the feet of the winch face forward. When they face down the winch frame and body are put under a lot of stress and can break.

Mike, I read that whole thread, and the general consensus is that if the winch mount is done right, it is perfectly fine to mount feet down. Although, it is even stronger to mount it feet forward. That guys mount was weak and bent. Good info in that thread, regarding how to properly mount a winch either feet down or forward.

I think the winching technique is also important. Side loading or over loading the winch can break them.

Well thats it. Every bolt is a 10.9 metric grade. The frame is reinforced, and every piece of steel plate on there is overkill and thicker then it needs to be (thats why I like it!). I have plans to add two more mounting holes for even more strength but for now I think its fine. The winch is a XRC 8k.

Looks good.

my .02, trim away the sheet metal behind the wings, the area beneath the headlights.

That box is mounted there temporarily. Ill figure out a better spot later but it looks and works fine right there.

The sheet metal behind the bumper will definitely be trimmed.

Thanks for the compliments!
