If any of ya guys are considering auxiliary lights, these are it!

I've had the opportunity to check em out awhile back before the production version was ready and was very impressed by the quality of the lights. They're sized identical to the Hella 4000 series so if you have an ARB bumper they will fit perfectly!

One cool feature that isn't noted is that they have a mounting tab on the top of the light to prevent the known "bouncing" issues found in many of the lights. Although Lightforce uses an unique mounting base that prevents the bouncing, over harsh conditions they can get knocked off and end up pointing at another direction so by having the secondary tab on top really ensures that they don't move at all! It's a great feature and if I can afford a few of these I'd be all over it!!!

Lastly, they're super light too :) Same strength and durability so that means that it won't break on ya. If you don't believe me on the durability/strength, there's a video on LF's website that shows a shotgun being used to attempt to break the lights. One would think that it'll break but nope it survives!

Well worth every penny!! Now go buy em!

So, what's the difference between the Genesis lights and either the 170's or the 240's? Will they have clip-on filters available?

the Genesis will be sized right between the 170's and 240's. The 170's are 7" tall (overall height) and the 240's are 9.7" tall (overall height). The new Genesis lights are identically sized to compete with the existing markets in the 8" range such as Hella and Baja Design's Sol Tek to name a few.

The Genesis lights does offer clip on filters: various colors and even an option for spot/flood. If you can actually mount 3, I'd recommend getting two floods and 1 spot for the center and you'll be golden :) From what I can remember, the filters are the same clip on style as the 170/240's. Very durable and easy to swap.

Those look sweet!!!!! That's cool that they are offered in halogen and HID.

Wil or Lance, if you buy the Halogen version, will lightforce offer an HID upgrade for them should you want to go to HID down the road? Seems like it might be possible since they are the same housing/etc... It could be a good deal for those that can't afford the HID upfront.

Yup, per light, and that's for the Halogen lights, it $465 / light for the HID's. They can hurt the pocket book, but are sooooo worth every penny!
