Did you vote today (or by mail)? Whether it's Obama, McCain or some other tool did you voice your opinion by voting?

I voted last Tuesday, in and out in about five minutes. It was a NM cast vote though; our machines double as shredders for those not voting Dem.

I have a question for those who are in state that allow voting by mail. Why do people go stand in line for potentially hours when you can vote by mail? Is it to get out of work? Do you not trust the mail? Something else?

Voted by mail.
I honestly think its a combination of things for people.
Some like the feeling of being at their polling place, and doing it manually. Others like to get out of work, and I'm sure some don't trust the mail.
I like to avoid the hassle.

3000 ballots in my county alone that never made it to those that requested them, today found in the office of the county clerk after a week long search of the local post office.

In the process of moving, I was unable to register in time in the new "home state" - however I did watch the Daily Show coverage :drink:
FWIW, I was quite happy to see that more than 50% of voting age peeps made it to the polls this time. I believe that may be a record . . .

I believe in Cali. your mail in or absentee ballot is counted last, as if it mattered anyway
