That would be a fun truck.

I really like the look of the retro stripes. Good idea, would probably sell quite well.
It could loose the silly bar below the front bumper though.

. . . . and a solid front axle to boot! I'd buy one, but like arjan said, I'd have to ditch the pseudo smitty-built looking front bumper

I'm surprised they used the 4spd automatic.
I'm really digging the retro look (minus the bed roll bar). Also, the front lightbar would be cool if they lost the stinger. It's tiny and serves no purpose whatsoever, plus you can only fit two lights with the stinger, without it you could fit four lights on the bar.

Love the grille! Needs a 5sp though for sure. Id drop out of college to afford one of those!

I would thing if they produced it a 5 speed would be available. Standard transmission tend to appeal to the crowd that would go after this.
I really hope they build it.

I would buy it, and as I said elsewhere, after the solid axle, the best part about that truck is the 4cyl. Great mileage possible, easy on parts (less broken crap), and no speeding tickets. I love 4cyls.

I was at SEMA this week and saw that truck.
I actually smashed my head on the door crawling out from under it, there is still a bump there too. :hillbill:
It is a really neat truck though. It caught my eye from a ways away. Whats funny is it has an old right drop axle with a high pinyon e-locker. The suspension is an odd, short arm two link with coilover struts.
I absolutely love the wheels!

i was wondering if it had an elocker up front. they say its from a land cruiser, it must be from an fzj80 for its width and its HP elocker

Your right, it must have been a Land Cruiser axle. I dont know much about those LC axles, but the steering arms were on the bottom and the tie rod was at the back.
Does Toyota still make a 4wd drive train with a passenger drop t-case? I thought all the currant production 4x4's were driver drop.

i beleive they still have sfa land cruisers in other countries than the US. where our sfa for pickups and runners stopped in 85 i heard other countries had sfa pickups till 1997. the fzj80 land cruiser was sfa up till like 98 i think was the last body style, so im guessing in other countries land cruises still have sfa
