Trip report--let's see...it was scenic and the trail was a blast. How's that for brief?
White 4runner is mine and the green one belongs to 4x4mike.

Now on to the pics!

Beginning of trail:

This is apparently the look on my face when I get high centered and there are nasty scraping noises coming from underneath:

This trail tops out at almost 9,000 ft., so there is a pretty narrow window of months that you can run it. Looking forward to spending more time out there late next year.

Hi Chris--yes, they were from three weeks ago. I am sure there is at least a couple of feet of snow up there now.

See--you should have joined us! Same goes to Scottiac. :P

Haha, I was wondering how it was so nice up there this weekend.

Is that when Mike started getting all anal about his "tranny shifter heat"? :shake:

I don't hear him complaining now that it's cold out!

These pictures are absolutely gorgeous paddlenbike, and it looks like that is pretty sweeet trail! Your white 4Runner literally looks pristine like you just drove it off the lot...

Thanks! I just cleaned it up and waxed it today. The body and interior are in great shape--especially when you consider where it has taken me. The stock skidplating underneath is looking a little tired though!

Mike's 4Runner is in great shape too.

It was fine on that trip, although warm. It was blasting up the 5 to Oregon that it started heating up.

That would have been a good idea but I think they were tired as we were all in San Francisco the day before. It's hard to beat northern California, ocean on one day and the Sierras the next. For stock I think I did well considering the amount of rocks on the trail. We both got some rock rash on our front bumpers (Ken not as much though) but heck I need an excuse to get an aftermarket bumper.

I can't justify a new front bumper until mine is messed up. It's getting there... :D
