The hardest thing for kids that young is not to panic and swallow water when they first fall in. If they do, they'll have a heck of a time being able to float after that. Definately a good idea to get kids acclimated very early to being around water if you do have a pool.

Yeah where was this video when I was 2 and fell in to the deep end of our pool and sank to the bottom like a rock? Haha thank god my sister heard me fall in.

reminds me of a child in Yosemite that walked into the jacuzzi and just stood there with his head under water and his mom (2 feet away) didn't even notice until another child started yelling --- but that was just bad parenting

I saw this a long time ago and it is very hard to watch being a parent of small kids.
