I thought about that too but then again I've seen some other videos of other "things" bouncing right off of fast moving vehicles. Pretty crazy stuff. I guess it just depends on the angle of impact? No clue.

It is a small deer and that just may be a carbon fiber front end (don't know), however the way the deer launches straight up and does a few cartwheels is what I find fake about it. It should have had its feet swept out by the leading edge of that car and flopped back onto the car itself, not just pop straight up into the air -- does anyone know for sure that it's fake or not?

in not sure if its fake or not, all ive found says that it was filmed during a race, and like yall said there are some things that dont add up. this girl I know hit two deer in one night, one when she was going 30ish and it messes up her grill, and the other when she was going alot faster an she said it didnt mess her car up any more and it went straight up in the air, so it could have something to do with the speed and if you noticed it hit the deers legs rather than its body and thats what could have launched it...I dont know, I just work here...

I was riding passenger in my friends prelude when we hit a deer going about 15-20mph. It was mid jump, so we hit the upper legs with the front of the car. It did that same thing, straight up, flipping (although not nearly as high), and the only problem was we stopped and it landed on the windsheild directly in front of me. ONly damage was to the windshield. I could see how this could be real.

Plus, even though it is plastic, it looks like it hit right where there would be some tubing/bracing underneath, hence it's not going through.

I'm not a rocket surgeon though, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn last night. :flipoff:

I believe it to be real.
I think Lance is one the right track with the angle.
I hit a deer in moms lexus around the same spot and while it didn't fly straight up it did do the cartwheels.
Moms lexus has a plastic bumper and a metal hood and quarters, no damage was done to the plastic when the deers feet clearly got hit by the bumper first then fell onto the hood and that quarter which got damaged and was pushed away.

Not saying this could be a fake but just from person experience it leads me to believe its real.

I hit a deer, many points, but it didn't go straight up in the air. It aimed right for my grill, did you ever hear of the animal conspiracy theory, they are out to get us. Luckily I was able to persuade some country boys to come and put it out of my mysery. I am sure its a nice rack on someones mantle. Needless to say i still find deer hair.
