33's are rubbing and its time to trim and hammer but i cant seem to get those black plastic plugs out without taring things up. is there any good way to remove them short of ripping them?

pretty much no, you will have to break the clips to get the liners out.

i just cut mine back and plan on putting in some rubber at some point, way out of the way of the tire.

What's left of my fender liner is held on by zippy ties mostly. :hillbill:

if they are just the push in/pine tree looking type, you can try to get under the head with the tip of a pair of needle nose pliers and wiggle them out - if they are the plastic screw type with an outer sleeze, get under the head of the phillips part with a small thin flat blade screwdriver and pry that middle piece out

the one i tried to very very carefully remove, i cracked immediately.

they are a spread type. a plastic clip that accepts a screw and expands to hold it in.

thank you for the quick responces. i ended up killing a few but salvaged enough to put things back together again. looks like 1" body lift time

yea tell me about it...ill eventually have more money in parts then the actual truck underneath them. im having fun builder her up but there is a lot to be said for just shoveing 265/75/16's MT's on a dirt cheap truck. i really had alot of bang for my buck. getting a little more ability out of her is costing alot of money

even with my 1" body lift im still going to have to hammer the pinchweld back! haha.

and yes, it gets more and more expensive as you go. im about to plump 500 dollars on JUST parts for the front end. not even mods!!!
