I have had a MT-35 for a little over a year now and love it.
You have to pay for what you get, BUT you surely get more than what you pay for. Worth every penny !

Yeah, if that fridge can keep things cold with all that heat on the outside, it must be pretty good.

I personally love my MT45 it has been running 24/7 for about 7 months now.

Here's a pic from the last outing:

Slee sells Engels.

You have not wheeled until you pull the Otter Pops out for refreshment during the broken CV exchange or hub fix.

I cannot imagine how I lived without these things, let alone the big trip potential since in an expedition rig a personal usually has more electricity than they do ice.

I wish. I have other toys taking priority. Borrowed some and used them on shop trips.

I've never researched these but have always thought it would be a pretty convenient accessory. I would be worried that I go to start the truck and the battery is dead from the fridge draining it. My question is, how long can you have it running off your battery without worrying that it will drain you to the point where you can't start?

That depends on a lot...

I have an Engel 45 which pulls 2.5 amps at full load in freezer mode. I also have a deep cycle battery in my camper for running the fridge, lights, etc. Anyways, the battery I have is rated for 110 amp hours. Generally speaking I'd be able to run my fridge for 44 hours on the battery. A lot has to be taken into consideration because:

-there's a lot of other accessories I have to run
-the fridge doesn't run 100% of the time if the temp is reasonable. So if it runs 30 mins per hour, then that 2.5 amp hours turns into 1.25 amp hours.

Your typical starting battery has around 30 or so amp hours, but it is not usually a deep cycle and therefore much harder on the battery to drain and recharge it.

If you're thinking about a fridge, I would suggest looking at getting a deep cycle battery to run it.
