My 1995 4Runner has been running on 5 cylinders for the past year, I finally decided it was time to tear it apart clean up the engine some. After taking the heads off it was apparent that the exhuast valves on the passenger side of the vehicle were worn out pretty good. One was bad enough there was no compression on the cylinder. Since I will have the engine apart for a while I was thinking of installing a set of Downey headers when it goes back together. Does anyone have any experience with them?

No personal experience with them, but the word on the internet is they're one of the few 3.0 engine mods that actually do something. They're supposed to be a pain to install.

It was a pain to get the intake and heads off so I figure now would be the time to try installing headers.

You could PM MarcP, I know he has the downey headers that he had put on after blowing a HG. I believe his feelings are mixed on them.

PAhydrohead had them on his 94 4Runner. They cracked and had to be rewelded.
