Hey folks,

Air New Zealand has put together a spoof ad targeting "low fare" airlines and extra fees. Check out their website, and be sure to click on the different tabs and read the fine print. :D

I ran across this on another forum, and us aviation nerds got a kick out of it. I thought some of you may appreciate it as well.

When my wife and I went to NZ 2.5 years ago it was $1800 per person.

Wow. Did you all fly on Air New Zealand?

I would really like to visit New Zealand and especially Australia. The new airline V-Australia had tickets from LA to Sydney for about $750 rt, although part of me wants to fly Qantas on the A380. Now that United and Qantas have V-Australia and Delta as competition, I expect prices to become more reasonable. I'm kinda tempted to go, but I need a job first. Then I need time off. :hillbill:

It was just me and my wife. We flew in November '06 for our honeymoon. In March of that year the tickets were $900 a piece. We were there for 3.5 weeks and had a great time and would go again. We took a United flight to SF then Air NZ all the way to Auckland. After 1.5 weeks on the north island we took a domestic flight to Christchurch to send 2 weeks down there.
