First off, Let me start by saying this would not have been possible without the incredibly lovely Jenn (yotagirl) And her BF Joe. So I went up north to Jenns place and had a nice time joking and gettin these bad boys on there, After that went on a lil shakedown run..Pics..The Sliders were 4xinnovations DIY, IE, You have to weld the legs, So i did that much, Then joe the vet welder got it done  http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a168/Sycosurfer150/SDC10041.jpg http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a168/Sycosurfer150/SDC10043.jpg What a badass driveway...http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a168/Sycosurfer150/SDC10044.jpghttp://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a168/Sycosurfer150/SDC10046.jpghttp://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a168/Sycosurfer150/SDC10047.jpghttp://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a168/Sycosurfer150/SDC10048.jpghttp://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a168/Sycosurfer150/SDC10049.jpg No action shots really, It was a very inpromtu (spelling ?) run..Also im still not very comfortable with the thing yet, so I took a few bypasses and didnt do anything too crazy. The truck does twice as well off road as the 91, the tourqe is a whole lot better and 4lo was my best friend :D. Anyway, What ya think guys ?

Dude scott, You know what part thats at, where you have to turn right like immediatly, I totally forgot about that freakin hole..Ill clear things up a bit... THATS WHY I DIDNT FEEL LIKE DOING THE REST OF THE TRAIL ON THE HARD PART...:bling:

Is it me or are the sliders welded too close to the body? Just wondering. The sliders will move a bit especially if you slam it into the rocks. It won't flex inches but it will flex a good 1/2" or so? Maybe more depending on the slider design and how it's welded to the frame.

Lance, They are a bit close. I have about an inch under the doors...The body hangs low on the frame and thats about the only way we could get the angle we wanted...:bling:

I agree with Lance they seem a little too close for comfort. I've seen some people cut into their pinch weld to allow for that possible travel without incident. i can try finding a link later but they're basically just half hex cuts above each rail

One quick fix.... 1" body lift. I know it's a body lift but I'd say that's your cheapest and easiest fix w/o grinding/cutting since I don't think you have room to cut/grind between the body and the sliders.

I will look into that lance...I was wanting to shy away from the BL, But I get what your saying, If the sliders move, Well so does the body, Negatating the use of the sliders for the most part..

My sliders are about that low, and the pinch weld above the forward legs are bent upwards just a hair from use... I haven't slammed them on anything too hard, though. I'll probably put off the body lift until it's time for dual cases, at which point I won't be able to use my front cupholder anyway...

Im thinking about it...Just cause I wanted to do one anyway, And now getting different opinions I think itll look ok...I need money first, Id rather lock the beast first...
Im thinking lockright..

They do look a bit low, what we did to my 4XI sliders was cut the leg ends at an angle (the frame side) to allow the legs to slant downward, so no matter what angle the slider was at it started a little further south from the body. :) Worked out well so far, cause those 4XI's are gonna bend. :) ESPECIALLY if you went for the HREW. If you sprung for the DOM ones, then you are a little better off though.

Yes actually they are the dom one's, They were a christmas present last year but never got to put them on the old truck.
And that sounds like a good Idea, If I had the means to do that I still wouldnt have thought of it...

my sliders used to hit my body on hard hits as well, got a 1" BL and im pretty sure its good now, the lil damage was done already. just get a 1", it will help with clearing bigger tires. buy it from 4crawler, like i wish i had.

also if your truck is a manual i wouldnt rock a lockright. everyone told me to get it, and i hated it with a 5spd. elocker or arb, i love my elocker

I think the lock right would be a little harsh with a 5 speed coupled with a pick up. You don't have a lot of weight back there so the engagement/disengaguement will be magnified a bit.

Well I wish I had heard what you guys said before I ordered it, but whatev. A locker is a locker, and it will help with traction, thats all that I care. Ill just have to take it easy on road and get used to it...

You'll be fine. I have a detroit in the front and welded in the rear (man. trans). The detroit was in the rear, and I hardly noticed it at all. Now, I just get the standard chirping around corners. You're going to love having a locker.

My friend is rocking a 97 ext cab 2.7l with a lockright on 33's and 4.56, he is good.
Also considering that it rains more here then there you don't have to worry to much.

you will love the locker, I love my e-locker (which till I get the harness stays locked when I go on off-road trips)!

Hey Jenn, is that the pickup you're talking about? Didn't that have an open front and detroit in the rear when I drove it? It drove nice, and I didn't mind the locker in the rear at all.

I bet it's nice now that it's locked front and rear. :D

I liked that truck.

Thanks for the reassurance jeen and avy, Troy has the lockright, and he loves it, So im very excited about it...Now all I gotta do is find someone that knows how to install it...:headscratch:

1" BL will be ordered next week if the budget will allow while still having money for the death valley trip....
