Been sitting on a brand new TRD supercharger for months and finally have the time and some funds to put it all in. Couldn't believe how easy the install was....hardest part I would say was fighting the power steering tensioner.

I installed the supercharger first once I got the TRD thermostat, URD pulley tensioner and the IK22 plugs. Completed the install, making sure I didn't leave any tools laying around in the engine bay :hillbill: and took it out for the first run. All I got to say is I had a hard time keeping my foot off the gas pedal. Over the next couple of drives I encountered the dreaded high gear low rpm ping and learned how to keep that from happening. Even though I read through all the info on the SC, I figured I'd be set without any fuel mods but the AFR guage proves me wrong as its in 14.1-14.9 while in boost :chair:. Called up URD and placed an order for the 7th injector kit and a few goodies. The truck sat in the garage waiting for the URD goods to arrive and when it did showed up, the install took about 2 hours and the AFR is at 11.8-12s while in boost with the preloaded map. The URD kit made a huge difference in the way the SC kicks in, making the transition smoother and best of all I don't have to worry about it leaning out no more. Now I just have to find some time to fine tune it and install the 2.20 pulley.

Parts acquired:
-TRD Supercharger
-TRD Thermostat
-Denso IK22 plugs
-URD tensioner pulley
-Autometer Transmission temp guage
-Innovate XD-16 with LC1
-URD 7th injector
-URD 02 sensor calibrator
-URD plug and play harness

On with the pictures:

Iceman,
Great install! is the valve body upgrade next?

What's the opening temp of the TRD thermostat? also, what's the difference between the sock one and the TRD one? got any part number for the TRD thermostat?

also, what brand is your red oil filler cap?

Thanks!

Thanks, the opening temp for the TRD thermostat is 160 degrees and the part number is PTR04-35050.

I haven't decided on the valve body upgrade yet and I didn't even install the walbro pump either.
As for the oil cap it was just painted with Duplicolor Metalcast paint, Anodized Red :D.

Dude this is my dream mod. And if I ever wanted to do it then I would want to do it with the amount of attention and perfection that you did I have absolutely no mechanical experience at all... But awesome job, near perfect install!

Everything seems to be running pretty good now. The high gear low rpm ping is completely gone....just gotta fine tune it and throw on the URD 2.20 pulley.

The other thing is the little noise at idle that you will have to get used to...the sound of a bad or loose ground connection on your sound system, ground loop noise.

If you had everything ready to go in at once....I would say a good 4-5 hours.
