Gents,
I have been away racing, as some of you know, I am a competitive lumberjack. If you like that sort of thing, here are some videos from a competition we were at last weekend in California. I took second place and did not win the region like last year. Hoping for the wildcard invitation back to Georgia.
Please check out the following videos. If you watch them and share them with friends, my little bro who took the videos is in the running for some prizes. Please don't hesitate to post these in places with people who may know me or like them. Otherwise, just enjoy!

How was Eureka? Did you get a chance to run around the woods or visit the Roosevelt elk?

Thought I replied to this already.
Eureka was a blast, Arcata was like going back into what I imagine the Summer of Love to have been like in San Francisco. Great time all around.
Trying to cut weight again. Raced at 250 with a little grease last year, up a bit now, trying to get back to a tight 250 and not give up any strength.
Thanks for looking!

Funny, until now I always pictured you like this...

Striking a cut in the same spot with an ax takes some real skill. Nice work!
That horizontal chop looks super sketch, props!

We have chainmail socks on that keep all the toes in check.
Had a beautiful drive through Redding on the way to Eureka, actually stopped to eat at Lumberjacks for breakfast one morning.
Thanks guys.

Yeah, I wondered about the shins/ankles/feet protection. It didn't look to me like you had any. Chainmail makes sense...plus it makes ya look sexy. Hehe.

On the Paul Bunyan stuff, I get that a lot. I am a pretty large human, but this week in California, there were a couple of circles I would stand in where I was not just regular sized but small. One team had a guy that was fully 6'6" and 350. He dwarfed me. He wasn't fat, just an enormous bit of humanity.
It also made me think, it has been almost exactly a year with the moustache. The sideburns have ebbed and flowed, but this is the longest I have been without beard since having beard growing abilities.
Chainmail wrecks the axe edge but keeps toes. I have a couple of decent cuts in my left shoe from training accidents. Oddly, I also have a good scar from 6 stitches in my left instep/ball of my foot. It looks like a chopping injury but is actually from stepping on a crosscut saw while cleaning my apartment.
Keep watching!

I went to school in the Big Ten and we had nothing like this available. I had seen it on TV, but never done it. Then I came out here to CSU, we have a team, I started training and liked it, now it is an obsession of mine that really runs my life.
Thanks for looking!

See, Mrs Fuster would never let me have a saw in the house....sometimes I miss being a bachelor....
I have this chainsaw but with a 26" bar and a conical high perf air cleaner. I make and sharpen my own chains, cut the rakes and service the saw. I have rebuilt a few motors too. Fun stuff but I'm a few years out of the heavy service and reconditioning.

Edit: Mine hasn't been this pretty in ten years.....hehe.
