amazing day! a change of plans sent us to Red Cloud mine and its my new favorite! its got tons of levels and lots of chutes and ladders. but at the same time there is no complete vertical to it so its fairly safe. also saw all of bismark and found the card room with a mojave underground card in it!

It was an awesome day. Very little wheeling though. More of an all day game of shoots and ladders.

ya you missed out Steve. it rocked. so glad kimi is good at climbing on the rocks. i was worried all day but she was fine on everything except sliding down the skree pile. id never seen her mad before lol. Scott was his ushual fearless self and i was glad he was there to scout ahead several times when i was scared haha. its funny, im really good at explaining to kimi how safe something actually is but i never fully convince myself.

Yeah, we still need to finish off Red Cloud. Then figure our way into Silver King.

i wouldnt mind revisting red cloud. there was so many tailings piles above us when we got out at our high point. they are either more from red cloud or entrences to the other mines that should interconnect with silver king. either way im all for hiking up to the upper entrence and looking for ways up inside the mountain.

bring some brave ones though lol. i dont want Kimi to realize that most women wouldn't climb 75 foot, 100 year old, rickety ladders.

AND YOU DIDN'T EVEN INVITE ME! Just kidding. Remember me man? Well we moved to our new house in Hesperia so we should get together sometime. You and your new "friend" need to come out to the High Desert Roundup with us on the 23rd. It is a blast. And you better be there too Steve so we can rep Toyota.

 You don't exactly have the best track record with vehicles. I probably "wouldn't have got back to you either".

J/K Couldn't help myself. Haha!

That mine exploring looks awesome! I'll have to make a solo trip (no wife or kids) down to do that with you guys.

I definitely wouldn't bring kids there. I don't like Caity getting out of the truck anywhere near those mines, even when I'm just there to wheel and not explore. Bad things can happen real quick.

yeah kids would be kinda iffy. theres 100 foot shafts that we walk right next to and some adult sized obstacles that we climb. that said id love to take my nephews (8 and 10)out there. super strict rules and supervision would be needed though.

Yeah, He would definately be in a harness and tethered to me if I ever took him. He doesn't really like the dark, so he'd be better left at home anyways. :D

Come on you wimps, Hannah went through her first mine when she was four months old. She also ran achey breaky at the hi desert round up last year when she was only two months old. Live a little. :)

Umm... yeah, I would have no problem taking one that small with me. They are a little bit harder to control when they are almost 5. I too have been taking my kids camping/wheeling with me since they were really young, but letting a 5yr old loose in a mine isn't on my list of things to do. Haha, you'll see when yours starts getting more and more mobile. :D

Edit: forgot, should have said "almost 5, thinks they are invincible and know everything, and only half way listen to you while they are exploring..."
