Nice choice on a gun! Have a G19 myself as my carry piece.

BTW two of the mags come filled with Remington 55gr rounds.

G21sf FTW.

Too bad I live in CA. That and my wife would highly frown on an AR even with the nice price.

Haha my GF is wondering why Im selling it lol. It sucks that I'm pretty sure Im moving back to SoCal in the next year or so and I will have to sell all my mags for my G-19!

I should add, that back in December I ordered a carry handle for it, but it is on a national back order. I called them a couple weeks ago and I was told I should be getting by the end of March or beginning of April. So it would be up to the buyer if they would want it when I get it in or buy it without it.

You can modify down to 10. I wouldn't get rid of what you've got. Go .45, 10 seems right at home.

I have G17 17-Round mag, which wouldn't be worth modifying down, and I have the G18 33RD mag too. I will probably modify the two 15 rounds I have.

My buddy in SoCal told me I could bring the AR down if I modified it with 10 rounds mags and put the bullet button on but I'm not to familiar with the assault weapon laws out there

Like I said, dont get rid of it-just keep your trap shut. Do you have any idea how many people in Cali didnt register such things and also own such things after the fact? Im betting millions..

Go here and read the OLL Flow chart

www.calguns.net

You will find more than enough info on converting your Ar over.

As far as the over 10 round magazines go, i am not 100% but it is not illegal to have them. you just cant buy them here unless you are LE. If you had them before the 2000 ban you are good to go. the part i am not 100% on is moving from out of state. You did legally own them and if you move to California, you technically legally owned them before you moved in.

Ask over on Calguns someone will know for sure.

Oh and DONT SELL YOUR GUNS, you'll miss them later.

He doesn't have to register the AR if he properly converts it. Its a Long gun and doesn't require a "registration"

The pistols he does have to "IF" he plans on using them for anything other than say target shooting.

If you use an unregistered pistol and it is in the commission of a crime the crime automatically becomes a felony.

And yes speeding is a crime, as well as a bunch of other things I'm sure they could bust your b@lls over. So basically its worth the $19 to send in the little piece of paper.

I wont talk to much more about this since its highly illegal..

But what others dont know, wont hurt you. Like I said, 90% of people who had whatever they banned didnt register or convert anything-ever. Nor do people who somehow "acquire" said banned items. If the criminals can have them-then why cant you? Fight fire with fire.

Registering or modifying it to accommodate "them" means they know you have whatever and you play by there rules, and also means they can keep tabs on you. Call me crazy but I dont like that.

SSS imho, if you dunno what SSS is look it up sometime. And thats all ive got to say about that.

Im not selling the AR because I'm moving back to Cali. The Cali talk was regards to my G19. I'm selling the AR for other reason. Basically because I don't have time to use it, and I could use the money and want it to have a good home! I am keeping my G19 because it is my CCW piece.

My buddy talked to a FFL in Simi Valley and they refuse to touch it or anything that has to do with any so-called Assault Rifle in fear of losing their FFL. He is going to talk to the other gun shop in Simi and see if they will accept with when it is properly modified for California

You might need to piece it out and/or convert the non-compliant pieces, just to get it in CA.

We are going to convert it...we just need to find a FFL that will accept it. The one shop wouldn't even accept it even if it was in compliance. They wont deal with anything that is an assault rifle

Get a Bullet button for it, install it and mail the receiver with the bullet button to your California FFL with a photocopy of your DL.
Your buddy can then fill out the DROS paperwork. There's lots of FFL's in So cal, one of you look on Cal Guns and do a search.

Mail him the upper direct. The upper doesn't have to be on the receiver to do the transfer, just the receiver is needed. There is no requirement either on a State or Federal level concerning the upper. Its not considered a firearm by its self.

If you cant find a local FFL let me know and I'll try to find one on the Cal Guns board.

Awesome thanks for the info I will definitely relay the information to him and see how serious he is about transferring it.
