I also went out and picked up a quick safe for my bed:

Got tired of having to turn around and go back home because i forgot to put the .45 back in the safe.

So now its on to Safe room improvements.

Anyone else watch Best Defense on the Outdoor channel?

Nice! For the record, I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy...

Details on the bed safe?

EDIT - Nevermind, looks like Wal-Mart carries it for cheap, hmm......

Wish i looked online first, but I didn't pay that much more so its all good.

It works pretty good. Seems solid enough. The handle is kind of small but i don't plan on moving it any where. You can program in like 3 users, using a multitude of button combinations. It has an alarm if it gets tampered with.

Easy enough to open, last night i tried 4 different times to open it on the fly only stumbled once.
Will probably get one for the garage too since I'm out there sometimes.

Good to hear it works well, a lot of guys on GlockTalk had positive things to say as well.

If I can find an easily accessible place to bolt one down, I think I'll suck up my pride and place on order at WalMart.com...

looks like a rem 870 with that front barrel/tube clamp piece. ( i say this because its identical to the one on my marine magnum sitting next to me)

winner winner chicken dinner

It is an 870 with the extended 7 shot magazine tube.

The stock is an ATI collapsible stock
with a 5 shell holder

The light is a Tac-star w remote mounted switch

do i really get a chicken dinner? im starving!

im looking for a pistol grip for mine, but dont really want the collapsible stock. was looking at something like this: http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=454153 and id really not want to get something thats "universal" ideally id get the one that comes on the new rem tactical 870.

I went with the collapsible stock on both the 870 and my M4 because i wanted the sizing versatility. You never know what you'll be wearing or if someone smaller than me will have the need to wield it.

I have basically the same stock on both its pretty comfortable to me and i almost have the same feel.

Going to be funny watching me at the range trying to rack the fore grip on the M4.
